US-CHINA HIGHER EDUCATION ALLIANCE
PURPOSE: To increase higher educational opportunities for Chinese and US students and faculty members and in so doing, to promote greater understanding and development of the two nations and greater educational attainment of its citizens.
SERVICES
1. Facilitate collaboration between higher educational institutions in the US and China through joint degree and professional development programs.
2. Assist Chinese students who desire to engage in undergraduate or graduate study in the US through affiliated US institutions.
3. Assist US college and university students who desire to study in China through affiliated Chinese institutions.
4. Assist in faculty exchange programs.
5. Provide information and process assistance to accredited US colleges and universities that desire to establish educational programs and services within China.
6. Disseminate information on trends and opportunities within Chinese higher education for US readership.
7. Conduct or sponsor seminars and conferences to encourage greater collaboration between US and Chinese higher education institutions and associations.
8. Review and certify student recruitment agencies in China that adhere to an established set of UCHEA Operating Standards and Principles.
ALLIANCE MEMBERSHIP
GROUP A – US colleges and universities that have signed agreements with UCHEA certified student recruiting agencies to accept qualified Chinese students and to provide a set of institutional services designed to enhance Chinese student academic success.
GROUP B – US colleges, universities and other educational associations that are interested in higher education in China but who do not have signed agreements with UCHEA certified student recruitment agencies.
GROUP C – Chinese colleges and universities that desire to participate in UCHEA programs and services.
GROUP D – Student recruitment agencies and organizations that are operating or desire to operate in China that have been certified by UCHEA or have achieved candidacy status for such certification.
MEMBERSHIP FEES
GROUP A – Annual fee waived for the duration of signed agreements as referenced in Membership section. Discounts on UCHEA sponsored events.
GROUP B – Annual fee of $100 plus $100 per 1,000 FTE enrollment.
GROUP C – Annual fee waived.
GROUP D – Annual fee of $100 plus annual certification fee of $400.
